DescriptionUPDATE: New scan to show off the detail.I have always been on the search for the greatest Campbell piece. The first time I saw him tackle Black Cat, I knew she'd become a signature character for him. Spider-Man covers were always going to be a bit out of reach for me. So I opted for the commission route. I made the list in 2009. I thought Spider-Man swinging through the city with Black Cat (as the star) would make a great commission. Unfortunately, so did someone else, because something eerily similar to what I wanted pop up on CAF about a year and half after my request. Luckily for me that commission soon went up for sale just under a year later, and I jumped at the opportunity to pick it up. Because of this, I asked if I could alter my commission in 2011. This time I went with Black Cat caught in Spider-Man's web (with Spider-Man worked in somehow). Campbell agreed and sent a sketch – which made it in a couple of his "Rough Stuff" Sketchbooks. After years of waiting and inquiring and waiting and inquiring about the commission, Scott canceled the commission in late 2016. Worse still, a piece which was remarkably similar to the new idea I commissioned surfaced and was sold to someone else – which was heartbreaking. BUT, had any of this not happened, this piece wouldn't be in my collection. I passed on this Black Cat in the middle of my waiting period. But not this time. This is quite possibly one of the best examples of Campbell's good girl art. It's ridiculously beautiful. And I couldn't be happier. Thank you Conny. I know it wasn't easy letting her go. I passed on this piece as well years ago. One of my biggest regrets. When it showed up again on the market, it was way too much for me. Congrats, Eric

WOW! Has the Black Cat ever looked sexier? No, I don't think so. What a gorgeous commission! Serious congrats, Man!
