Very interesting page. Notice in the left bottom corner of the top panel the wave splashing overboard looks like Elric's right hand! I think Gilbert intended it as his hand in the layouts and Russell finished it as water! The way the top of the first panel is broken by the water and the second panel is Elric's POV thru the water are typical examples of the cool panel designs from this great series. And the last panel CU is killer!
