DescriptionUnexpectedly found myself with the opportunity to snag this Byrne gem, from my childhood. Love the character interactions, since Spidey is a no brainer as my favorite character and his interactions with JJJ were always consumed by me. John's renditions of these characters. Perhaps John was especially inspired, due to his working relationship and friendship with Roger Stern, who wrote this. Solid Gene Day inks. At the top of my faves and the nostalgia that these images bring make this a gem.I've scanned the back of the page as well. Nice surprise to see it already signed and in faded blue ink. I also see some letterhead that had been taped over. "The Amazing Sergius Man!" Any idea as to what it refers to? Social/Sharing |

Very nice page! Sums up the whole relationship with JJJ pretty well. And it's a great Byrne page as well!

That Byrne/Day art is really snazzy! Too bad they didn't work together more. The "Sergius" reference is to the nom de plume of ASM editor Dennis O'Neill, who used the name Serguis O'Shaughnessy early in his career when he was working for multiple comic book companies. Big congrats on a great page Fred!
