DescriptionGene Fawcette Supermouse, the Big Cheese #37 Story Page 8 Original Art (Pines Comics, 1957). Fawcette's versatility kept him busy in such diversified genres as horror, Westerns, Funny Animals, and kid-stuff comics. The artist is in fine form on this rib-tickling closing page from "It's a Small World," in which Supermouse is shrunken to bug-size by Terrible Tom Katt. More than merely a Mighty Mouse takeoff, Fawcette's contributions to the Supermouse series sparkle with humor and energy. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 12" x 18". Light toning.
