Description

After seven years of trying, I finally was able to set up a home commission by Mark Bagley through his rep, Spencer Beck. The last time Mark was in the Northeast for a con was back in 2006, but he only took con sketches, which I got three of. A lot has happened in the world of comics since then. Mark has moved on to DC and his fan base is growing larger with each passing issue. But to me, he is my favorite Spiderman artist and my three favs are Carnage, Venom and Spidey. Once Spencer informed me that Mark would take a commission I thought long and hard. I've been extremely fortunate to obtain high end pieces of Mark's work with Carnage and Venom, so I thought of the one piece of artwork that I let slipped through my fingers back in 2004. Dan Gallo was willing to sell me the original 1992 poster artwork with Carnage and Venom attacking a web swinging Spiderman.So, I asked Mark to do a similar piece, but this time use the Ultimate versions of these three characters. I couldn't be more pleased with the results ! This 11 x 17 grail has finally quenched my thirst of Bagley artwork.A tremendous size thanks to Spencer for getting this idea into a reality. As for Mark, a sincere thanks on such a great commission. You're the man !

This is really a beautiful version of the old poster-drawing. You should ask one of the "old" inkers to do their job - using a copy of your pencil-artwork.
