DescriptionClassic stuff from the year I was born (Cover date: January, 1971); one of my most memorable comic pages of all since reading this amazing story often in my childhood! From the great story in which all Kryptonite on Earth was turned into iron. Drawn by the the Last Son of Krypton's best art team , "Swanderson", at it's peak in my opinion. From one of the best Supes' stories ever, the Denny O'Neil written start of the multi-issue yarn with the "Sand-Superman"! After O'Neil renewed Batman and Green Lantern + Arrow for DC, then he took on the "New Adventures" of Superman and brought him into new heights in the early 1970s ! This page is a prime example why I still love this character most of all DC heroes and also his superb longtime artist (and my favorite classic DC inker of all)! Can't beat uber nostalgia paired with great looking art! Classic Swan Supes, and those last 3 panels are...scrumptious :) Congrats!
