DescriptionTrapped in another planets ocean realm, Aquaman searches for a way to return to Earth. Great page (from the time when he wasn't a muscle-bound, long haired beach boy) from my favorite Aquaman artist. In my humble opinion this is the most beautiful Aparo-drawn Aqua-storyline with a sexy SF girl and bad, bold and ugly aliens from Aparos first Aqua-run, perhaps he was was in competition with the great Neal Adams, who drew a 3-part tie-in backup-story with Deadman , Orm and the aliens in these issues (#50-52) ! Jim also inked and lettered this page - as usual with his work until the early 1990s, so it's 100% pure Aparo. Look up my other Aparo pages if you like what you see here !Social/Sharing |

There are Aquaman pages and then there are Aquaman #50-52 pages by Jim Aparo. Aparo was working on a whole different level on those stories. Amazing to see these in person. This is ART!

I really appreciated Aparo's work on Detective Comics and Batman, but this Aquaman page is something truly special. Congrats!

The flow from panel to panel is amazing, like an undersea tidal currant

I remember these comics back in the day, they bridged the gap between comic art,pop art and abstract art just as Steranko did.Wonderful to see an actual page now as I haven't seen many!
