Description

Walter Brogan “Cracked Monster Party” 36 Star Wars Trilogy published DOUBLE SPLASH Original Art (Globe Communications Corp., 1997). A hilarious parody in best tradition of “MAD” artist Mort Drucker titled "The Characters from the Star Wars Trilogy" featuring all main characters of the original 3 movies: Luke, Leia, Han Solo, Chewie, Lando, Darth Vader, R2D2, C3PO, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Jabba, Jawas, Ewoks and... and also Marvin the Martian (“Looney Tunes”), “Beavis & Butthead” (left to Luke, dressed like The Emperor) and Elmo – from the Sesame Street! This very large and highly impressive double-page splash was created in ink and marker over graphite on 2 Bristol boards and has a combined image area of approximately 34" x 21.25". Spot on! There's enough of the mannerisms depicted to get that same nostalgic sense of wonder of the trilogy! The staining works great as the b&w magazine would just turn it into a tonal shade of grey color.
