DescriptionAfter I got a couple of Brett Booth's Image 30th Anniversary cover homage recreations, I commissioned Adelso to ink them as he was very familiar with Brett's pencils as he has inked him for a while now, but he got what I wanted with them, especially on this one. There are a few versions of this image inked by various people as Brett shares his hi-res scans. But I own the pencils and I commissioned Adelso specifically for the polish and detail and he really brought it to this one. I had him ink these via grayline copies of the pencils as I hate the blue haze of blueline inks.Gen13 was my favorite title back in the day. I always wanted this actual cover but Campbell held onto it, vowing to never sell it. Until one day it popped up on CAF in John Dolemayan's gallery. (He is the owner of Torpedo Comics and drummer for System of a Down) But Brett was having a lot of fun doing these cover reinterpretations during the pandemic and for Image Comics' 30th anniversary, so I had to get this one when he did it. Sweet piece! It has a lot of the early Campbell energy that is apparent when Booth and Corona team up here.
