DescriptionThis is the color printer proof to one of my absolute favorite Fairchild images by Campbell. From issue #4 of the regular series, this image was also the last 2 pages of the story. This image and the cover to #5 are both Fairchild-gone-native pieces of perfection by J. Scott Campbell. I'm still looking for the actual original pages to this, since I know that the cover to #5 is not for sale (not that I could afford it anyway:) If anyone knows where it's at, please let me know.This proof piece was used as a variant cover to issue #4 in Germany. See pic of that cover below! So this proof is for the cover, even though it's an image from inside in the US version. Social/Sharing |

I wish you good luck in finding this - I'm looking for it myself ;) - I asked JSC once if he even had anything original from these days and he simply said "they're all gone". I wonder about that, though, cuz the only other artist I'd pay high money to get an original piece from (MLT) has people stating he keeps certain pieces in his own personal collection. JSC would almost be foolish to have parted with a lot of panels and covers he's done in the past and more than likely he's just not telling anyone.
