DescriptionGirls, girls, girls and one sexy page! The "Coup de Grace" of my SDCC trip for '09, I finally got a page from my favorite storyline of Gen13, (the issues 4 & 5 Pirates & Amazons story) by J. Scott Campbell! This page was inked by Scott Williams, which was a rarity but happened a couple times where he did a page here or there. (But he didn't ink a lot of his Gen 13 work.) I've been looking for pages from issues 4 & 5 for years now and no one will part with the ones they have posted:(So I actually went to SDCC this year specifically looking for these pages. But with how rare they are to find for sale, I was really just looking for any Campbell art that was affordable, since I went to San Diego with less money than ever this year. But I needed me some Campbell art:) So I started looking around and decided to look through inker stock, and looked through all their portfolios. Thankfully, first I stopped by Scott Williams table in artist alley like I always do. He had this page there, and I saw it and immediately knew I had to have it. I couldn't believe I found one! And this is a really sexy page with Rainmaker in bondage in the Coda/Amazon dungeon! Another great panel page for my collection! But it was almost all the money I had and it was day one for me there. So I haggled with Scott a little and got him down a bit and bought it:) The rest of the con was mostly fast food dollar menu food and free/cheap sketches, but it was totally worth it to me! I had both of them sign it for me while I was there and now I have a page from the regular series! Social/Sharing |

Great pick up Dave! There's a particular page from that storyline that I've had my eye on for a while. So – to actually find a page from these issues and THEN someone willing to part with it is truly awesome. Congrats!
