Description

The Hulk by the King - Jack Kirby. There is a story behind this sketch. I saw this sketch for sale many, many years ago in the Comic Buyer's Guide. I wanted it badly, but at the time, really didn't have the funds to get it. My wife, Jennifer, seeing how much I really wanted the sketch talked me into getting it. I was so excited that I called to buy the sketch right away, but it had been sold! I had missed my best chance to get a Kirby original sketch. Several months later, I opened a present from my wife for my birthday and I received this sketch. Seeing how much I wanted the sketch and knowing who Jack was, she purchased the sketch for me. She told the seller that she was going to talk me into getting the sketch and had asked them play along! I had been played - big time -by my best friend. Best gift ever!!!

NOTE: This sketch, and the story that goes along with it, were both published in the CBG & the Jack Kirby Collector magazine.
