A lovely and prized pencil of characters that Jack enjoyed to illustrate many times over his magnificent career.

Yes, Jack drew that for my book. It was an unexpected surprise when that and a dozen others showed up at my door.
It’s a great drawing. Wish I owned it.

It may well simply be tied up with memories of my father who specifically told me that the Newsboy Legion was second only to Will Eisner's Spirit in his ranking of the comic book series that he liked as a kid, but regardless, this is one of my favorite Kirby pinups. It's big and bold, action-filled yet mischievous and full of the details that make his work from this era so interesting to look at. I envy you on this one.

Loved everything in the JK Masterworks book, all those amazing raw pencil pinups, of which you have an excellent example, big congrats!!

Nice!
Do you have a flat-scan of this? I'd love to mess with it!

It is framed and hanging on my wall. I tried to take a better picture, but there was a glare. You can get the comic that it was published in as a digital copy.
