Description

Kevin Nowlan drew this and donated it to the silent auction at the Wichita Air Capital Comic Convention. Not only was I lucky to sit next to him at the sketching event prior to the convention as he drew this, I was the unbelievably lucky high bidder. Kevin's inks are immaculate- part of what has made him a legend in comics and animation. This is such a fitting piece for my collection, as I adored his run as the cover artist of Jason Aaron's Doctor Strange. Thanks, Kevin! Also thanks to the gentleman who generously allowed me to win it by abstaining from bidding at the last minute!

That's pure Nowlan and leaves a big impression with his version of Doctor Strange that has a lean look of a mage with appropriate power levels. The framing devices he uses are spectacular for Strange to interact with.

Nowlan is great at imbuing Doctor Strange with an otherworldly vibe perfect for the master of the mystic arts. Congrats on the win!

Stunning piece! Such a clean, classic rendition. Having a Nowlan version of Stephen Strange is a must for any fan of the good Doctor... Congrats on scoring such a treasure from what looks like a really fun and productive show!
