Description

This commission is the fifth in a series of pieces I commissioned from John Byrne, each of which involves a team of Marvel heroes, their headquarters and at least one really cool team vehicle. Having previously done the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers, and S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of the series, I decided to do the Invaders based on Byrne's brilliant rendition of the team in Namor. Rather than feature the headquarters of the Invaders, I thought it would be cool to have the piece loosely based on the iconic Golden Age cover to All Select #1 with the Invaders attacking Hitler�s Berchtesgaden castle. The result is a stunning 20� x 30� piece that leaps right off the page and tells a story all its own.
