Amazingly Jim Aparo inked and lettered his own pages. If you take a close look though, his early run on Brave and the Bold seems to be inked differently than his later work. Something seems to have changed in his approach starting from the late 120's of the Brave and Bold. The earlier inking (pre-B&B 130) doesn't look as slick and seems to be generally darker and grittier (I prefer his earlier inking!).

...And his wife painted the solid blacks (designated with an "x") at their kitchen table. I visited him when I was in high school- what a great artist and generous man he was!
