DescriptionThis is page 19 (or 14?) from Todd McFarlane’s Spider-man series, issue 3. Spidey has had his butt whooped by the Lizard during a downpour. This is a neat series of four panels where you start with a rain drop in panel 1 and then zoom in some in panel 2 and see what seems to be part of Spidey. Frame three – you can now make out an eye and leg. In the final frame the scene of Spider-man’s battered broken body is revealed. Check out his hand. That’s what I think of as the trademark McFarlane style these sick impossible, but extremely cool anatomical features that make you think our hero is closer to Spider than Man.Social/Sharing |

I loved nearly every page from Todds first 5 issues of Spider-man. I loved the mood and atmosphere he could create with his fragmented storytelling. He'd get realy close on things then pull back for dramatic effect. One of my favorite pages.
