Dark and harrowing! Any kind of demonic imagery like Belasco made it a horror title. For kids needing to complete their X-Men mutant collection, this might have been one of the few times they were exposed to it.

Fantastic page! I remember this series so clearly - such a strange and more adult departure from the X-Men and New Mutants at the time. Great pick up.

This is an intense series and to get a great page like this is phenomenal. You got a lady cat purring and a child slitting open her arm. Fantastic art!

The story hinted at horrible abuse ...Claremont pushed it as far as editors allowed here...and Magik emerged as one of the most interesting female mutant characters . Great page !
