No one has been able to come close to what Todd came up with on Spidey. I still am awed by how good he was. I mean how can anyone look at this and not be wowed.

Wow! As a 12-13 year old at the time, McFarlane blew my mind--though since then my tastes have moved on to more classic Bronze/Silver artists. But this takes me back and makes me feel like a teenager again--art-wise, I think this must be the best McFarlane Spidey image out there, regardless of whether we're talking splashes or covers.

"One day I'm gonna have to divorce her just so I can marry her all over again!" That line makes me so sad. How did we go from a perfectly likable, genuinely responsible Spider-Man to the selfish, immature idiot we've been stuck with since "One More Day"? I'd rather have THIS Spider-Man back!

I don't know how many artists have drawn Spider-man in the almost 25 years since Mcfarlane left Marvel but it's his visualization of the character that still feels the most contemporary. for me anyway. This page has everything you could want in a Mcfarlane Spider-man. It's about as good as any page he did.

I've got some serious nostalgia for those 90s comics - just don't go back and actually read most of them - and McFarlane's Spidey is way up there. This is an outstanding example of his work. I can't even afford to imagine what this cost to put on the wall.

I know I'm getting old, but it must be worse than I thought. How in the world did I miss this AMAZING splash of my favorite character? After all these other comments, anything I say would be redundant, so I'll just say, CONGRATULATIONS BUDDY!!!!! Wow!

I'd be finished with collecting if I could land a page of OA like this one! McFarlane's Spidey is my all time favorite like many other collectors!
