I really enjoyed the gritty cast and storyline of the Thunderbolts Dark Reign arc. It was my introduction to Rob De La Torre's art and I've been hooked since (DD, Cap... Conan!).

This is the final page of the arc and I have to say Rob gave us a a great drawing inspired by Scarlett Johansson before she took on the role in 2010 in Iron Man 2 while also magically capturing her future 2012 look in The Avengers film.

This artwork was drawn on two separate boards with the main Black Widow figure on one and the background figures and elements on a separate piece. Rob did this to more easily separate the background elements in the color stage.

ohh that Widow is goregous and certainly evokes Scar Jo's portrayal of the character even though technically it's a different one. very nice!

Absolutely stunning ink work! Thank goodness the comic industry always made it a practice to leave the colors off of the original line art.

WOW - now that is some serious artistic muscle from Rob DLT here (loved this whole run)... BEAUTIFUL rendition of Yelena, and although he's more often drawn in a comedic "lighter" style (to play up the yuks), I always welcome and appreciate a "heavier", more realistic approach to drawing Deadpool (to stress the menace and intent of the Merc). A great design & composition to the page, and really interesting (and very clever) that Rob drew it on two pages for a more efficient pass on the colors. Great idea and GREAT page, George! Congrats!
