I always enjoyed talking to Irwin Hasen (Golden Age artist of Green Lantern and All-Star Comics) and the creator of Wildcat, Cat Man, and the comic strip Dondi. When I saw this strip with Dondi and his dog, I had to have it. 1958.

I enjoy reading his Dondi strips and his autobiographical graphic novel "Loverboy." I also had the pleasure of speaking with him at Big Apple Cons and Heroes and having him join us for dinner once. He also screened his documentary, which I hope will be released someday, at Heroes. I fondly remember him having a martini at the Westin Charlotte bar and some collectors asking me who he was! He was certainly a character. RIP
