Description*** WINNER, BEST OF 2021, MEDIA/MOVIES/MUSIC/TV CATEGORY ***A truly iconic Bettie Page by Dave Stevens graces this cover to Movie Star News as “The Queen of Curves” (1990) and several promotional ads. The art was also used for the “Girl of My Dreams” statue (2010), wall poster and a commemorative pin from Dark Horse Comics. Also used by The Academy of Arts for a 1998 Exhibition Poster. Published again in Dave Stevens “Just Teasing”. A feast for the eyes and delightfully oversized (12" x 18"). Dave Stevens is best known as creator/artist for The Rocketeer and his incredible pin-up style "glamour" illustrations, especially of model Bettie Page. A shining star that left us way too soon, however, with his tragic passing in 2008. Any Dave Stevens piece is a rare treasure. This iconic published Bettie— Dave Stevens’ ultimate dreamgirl— is one of his signature works I’m now proud to own. Social/Sharing |

I echo the excitement of Groucho and the others behind Ms. Page (although is that Bogie playing it cool with his cigarette on the right?).

Hard to think of another Bettie image that is more well known. Nice to know that's all it takes for you to whip out treasures like this one. So, let's pretend that Bill had said, "You know, there's just not enough Frazetta art on CAF." What have you got Dino?

Hold on. It looks like you have the goods based on this , so do you really need a mere piece of paper with marks on it? You can handle statues and pins but paper is flat so you cannot feel the texture ( ahem ). Send the inked piece of paper in my direction and I will buy you a spare statue or two just in case you drop yours while fondling it. Best offer you will ever get!

You got at least 15 guys on there looking at Bettie... and hundreds looking at her on this side!
I looked very carefully and spot bits of seventeen. Admittedly one is part of a chin and theres another which is really only an eye. The current owner ( before he posts it off to me as a very generous gift for Christmas. I will write a little Santa list and post it poste haste to make certain. I am sure Santa will not let me down. I know where he lives. Lol. ) can verify it! It will give him a chance to ogle...ahem, study it more closely.

Actually, I see at least 19 of them (including the eye behind her right calf and the tuft of hair behind her butt) and I'm sure that only West, you and I paid some attention to this matter :) Congrats, Dino, and thanks for finally sharing this masterpiece!

I had another look. I thought ther might be 18 but was not certain so wimped out at 17. I just had a really, really good look. I had not even noticed the hair behind her butt! Now, thats a sentence I never thought I would write down. Keen cat eyes Davide! 19 oglers in frame and the many ogling out of frame and on computers and looking at the various printed ansdd sculpted versions. Speaking of which, would the current owner of the artwork stop fondling the statues. You have the primary object.

Absolutely beautiful Stevens piece! Congratulations!
Side note- do you know why the art is dated 1990, but the published images have 1989?

Wonderful and sexy piece! Do you know if the faces behind her are real people with some meaning or just characters in the story? Either way, took me a minute to even realize there was anything but Bettie on the page :)

Stevens let her be "imperfect," which made her perfect, imo. The way those garters gently dimple the skin is the touch/detail of someone who has attained a level of mastery. I'm not sure anyone could have captured all that emotion, excited reaction, and attitude, quite so perfectly. Maybe Bolland? Gorgeous work. Congrats!

There's only a few guys who I feel have truly done Bettie great justice and Dave has got to be top of the list. Jim Silke is probably a very close second. This piece is absolutely stunning and a double grail for any Stevens or Bettie collector. What a wonderful acquisition, congrats on a true masterpiece!
