MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!

The final cover of this legendary Star Wars mini-series that broke all sales records. Features key characters Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and C3PO along with menacing Stormtroopers, Imperial Destroyers and Tie-Fighters against the backdrop of Andor's Moon Forest. Painted by world famous French artist Mathieu Lauffray. Mixed media and acrylic on Bristol board with 15" x 20" image area.

In 2021, Lauffray�s Heir to the Empire #1 cover sold for a record price for Star Wars OA at auction. I figured a slim chance of winning this #6 cover but thankfully THE FORCE was with me...so thrilled to add it to my collection.

The two causal factors that relit the franchise were the 1991 releases of Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire novel, and at the end of the year the Dark Empire comic series by Dark Horse. It was a no-brainer to adopt Heir to the comic medium just a few years later. An outstanding cover that captures all of the issues action. Congrats!

This was definitely a major nostalgia hit! The likenesses lit up the senses and the hype around the special editions coming back were in full swing! Star Wars was back and gave new hope to fans old and new!
