DescriptionThis is the actual published cover to Bloodrayne: Tokyo Rogue #3 and the only original art that exists for it, as the blades and background were all added digitally later. This cover was Scott's first published piece when he came back to comics a few years ago, and was the beginning of him working digitally as he did this half original and half digital. Now he does all his work digitally, so no original pencils or inks exist of his current DC Comics work. (You can buy a special "1 of 1" print out, but it isn't the same.)This was the only time that Scott and Andrew worked together. They were teamed up to do a Bloodrayne series but sadly for various reasons the project was ultimately abandoned and this cover is the only published art that came from them working together. I remember Andrew was so excited when he got the gig because we both loved Scott's early Image work, but I was a huge fan and collector of Scott's work and he knew it'd blow my mind. But through Andrew I was finally able to meet Scott and become friends with him, so that was the best part of their teaming for me. :) This is original ink art by Andrew over blue-line scans of Scott's pencils. Andrew personalized this as a gift to me (and to make sure I never part with it) when I got out to Texas to see him recently. Sometimes having a little brother pays off! Published image is below!
