I loved the published version of this page (which I have here ) so I also bought this unpublished version when I was given the chance.

I was told Dave didn't like how it was looking and abandoned this version. This looks fine to me though!

Great comparison pieces. A lot of the difference seems to be in Superman's head and neck, which seem bigger and better in the next version. He has more cross-hatching rendering on this version as well, although it looks fine here. As you say, this version is pretty great as it is.
