Description

I have hunted for a Giffen Brainy and Kara action sequence but I never dreamt of having this Grell page. This was from a back up tale in Issue 204 and Kara's next appearance would be 90 issues later in the Great Darkness Saga. The art is amazing and meant to be shared.

I've been wondering when I was going to see a Grell page pop up in your gallery and, wow, did you ever find a great panel page. The montage at the top is wonderful, Supergirl rarely looked better, Cos is still in the old costume (as opposed to the Chippendales' dancer one) and I think Grell even inked this himself.

A great page of Grell art at it's best and so full of nostalgia! This is one of my all time favorite Legion stories! Brainy sleepwalks and builds a Supergirl "love-droid"! I laugh every time I think of it. Thanks for sharing!

i remember this page from when the book first came out. i was HUGE into the legion in the mid-1970s, a fine time to be a reader of the title. i was also watching a lot of reruns of 'star trek' at the time, and i remember when i read this book that i was disappointed that the legion's ship looked so much like the enterprise. and the idea of going to a recreation asteroid smacked of the episode "shore leave." but regardless of that, this is a great page. a fantastic addition to your collection. long live the legion!

It's amazing how I can't remember something from a week ago but I can remember this story from my childhood vividly. It was so well done - seemed sad and romantic to an adolescent boy rather than kinda creepy as I think it would if I first read it now. In any case, a great page - frankly THE PAGE I remember from this story still to this day. I'm jealous.

Maybe it's common knowledge among you hardcore Legion fans... but I finally figured it out !!! It only took me 35 years. The "kiss" is swiped from the Batman / Talia scene at the end of Batman 244.

Beautiful page of one of my favorite Legion couples. I read online that this is your favorite. I understand.

That top panel may be one of the best things Grell has ever done.  Beautiful!
