DescriptionFirst of all, I am not sure what this was used for. This was at the SDCC last year. I saw it at Jim D'amico's booth and thought it was really quite good. I just love how the paint is so thick that it pops out in person. Jim was really easy and fair to work with so a deal was quickly struck. Anyway, this acquisition really sparked my interest in trying to buy more painted artwork. In part b/c it just pops out more when you hang it up and of course, one can never have too many AH originals!!!! Much thanks to Jim D'amico for this!!!! Social/Sharing |

this was done for a trading card, I believe. One of the great ones out there floating around- Adam doesn't do many paintings anymore!!!

There was a set of 9 rare promo cards, in a Captain America folder, and this one was one of them. Only 1,000 of those sets exist. Never thought I'd get to see the painting of my favourite card... but here it is. Damn, it is nothing short of stunning. Congratulations. :)

WOW Joe! This is one of the single greatest paintings out there for comic fans of Hughes! I can only imagine how incredible it looks in person, as a flat scan never does them justice. Congrats on another jaw-dropping score!

Liked this when I first saw this in Jim's gallery and still like it now. Has a bit of a Charlie's Angels feel to it. Would love to see that ripple effect in real life, with it, the piece just looks so cool. Congratulations!
