A wealthy mastermind assembles his elite team of commandos, preparing for a high-stakes confrontation with the enigmatic Man-Thing on this gripping opening page from the backup story "Lifeline!". Crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned, discolored production hole-punched on the side margins, blue pencil editorial marks, tape over stat page number (32, but story Page 1), whiteout text corrections in Panel 1, adhesive residue from missing credits paste-up, and handling wear. Similar to what they did in old TV shows before the opening credits, thi is a great opening stinger to engage the audience and hook you into the fear for the fate of Man-Thing.

One of the funnest things about this site, is that every now and then someone will pop up with a piece by an artist from the old days that I really liked, but forgot about.
Ed Hanigan! This page terrific, and Tom Sutton's inks are perfect! Love the Lifline! title lettering.
