Description

When I first saw this page in the acutal comic, Ennio Morricone's masterful film cue "Il Triello (The Trio)" from Sergio Leone's "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" played over and over in my mind! I've lost counts how many times I've seen that film. For those of you that have seen this Western, then you know the score along with the slow editing of the last scene of the film helped build the tension amongst the three gunfighters. You got quick close-up edits of each player's eyes, hands, pistol, etc. I can't say for certain if that was the inspiration behind this page but it certainly feels like it. Whether it is or is not, this is easily one of the coolest pages I've ever seen in a comic book! Wonder Woman vs. the Secret Six. Outstanding execution by Nicola Scott. Great inks by Doug which didn't over power it and defuse the tension.
