This has been in the planning since '04 when I first brought up the idea with Michael at the SD ComicCon. I finally got the last payment to Michael in early '08.
I just got this scan today, 08/24/09.
Here's what Michael wrote:
"Hey Greg...
Here's a Quick scan of the basic layout...
It's about half the size of the original.
Needless to say, the bottom 2/3s will be filled with folks trying to kill the Shadow and Co... gun fire, etc, AND, the wheelhouse will be on fire with flames and smoke roiling up behind the Shadow grouping...
I'll send along a scan of this once I've pushed the other figures in!
Thanks for your patience... this finally looks like it's going to really hum!!!

I'm guessing this is still all in pencil. The finished piece will be pen & ink with colour added.
Of course I'll post the completed piece when Michael's done and I've received it.
