DescriptionOne of my most prized pieces…Marvel's 25th Anniversary poster art featured 70+ characters in a detailed composition by Gammill and Rubenstein on massive 32" x 22" board, as big as the poster itself! If this doesn't get you nostalgic for the 80s, nothing will! Every Marvel superhero circa 1986 is here with all my 80s era favorites including “black costume” Spidey, "bearded" Thor, "punk rock" Rogue, "Mohawk" Storm, "Silver Centurion" Iron Man, and “short hair” Sue Storm. In 2021, Marvel celebrated its 60th anniversary since Fantastic Four #1 launched the Marvel Universe. Back in 1986, Marvel released this 25th Anniversary poster along with special cover designs across all titles at the peak of my comic reading period. Fellow collectors who have visited my home and/or seen my CAF Live interview know how much this means to me, framed and hung proudly in my home office to enjoy everyday. Social/Sharing |

A who's who of the 80's Marvel universe. I've always thought of Gammill as a very strong and dynamic penciller. And I imagine this would probably be his Magnum Opus. It's the type of piece that, if this was the only piece of art in your collection, you'd still blow half of CAF out of the water. As an old geezer, I'm already drooling half the time anyway. But this thing has me absolutely gushing.

I've seen this in person and I love it! The frame for it was also the inspiration for the frames I had made! Beautiful!

What a magnificent piece.
This poster hung in my bedroom, along with Zeck Punisher, Art Adams X-Men.
I didn't remember it being a Gammill creation! We need to celebrate him more! I have very very vivid memories of his Avengers Annual 14 cover and the corresponding Fantastic Four annuall cover. Both covers took a moment where the two teams, separately battling the Skrulls, on the same ship, run into one another.
Gammill composition was just as masterful on those two covers as they are here on this massive homage to 25 years of Marvel history
Sidenote, I've emailed Mr Gammill about what he's meant to me and he's a swell guy too!!
Congratulations, a true true true Grail.

Wow! Killer art! This is one of the most awesome pieces I've seen on CAF for some time! What an unbelievable array of superheroes. I can only imagine how stunning it must look framed and on your office wall. Kerry Gammel and Joe Rubenstein are two of the artists who are almost synonymous with the 1980s. And together, they have really outdid themselves here. Love so many of '80s characters here--Black Suit Spidey, Bearded Thor, and my personal favorites--The Power Pack kids! How fantastic that you were able to pick this beautfy up, serious congrats!
