DescriptionI couldn’t resist the opportunity to get this classic Kirby Black Panther cover with the King of Wakanda looming protectively over his family as Jakarra— T’Challa’s half-brother mutated by Vibranium— approaches menacingly. Jakarra’s misshapen form bears a striking resemblance to The Thing from FF.Beautifully composed, drawn and signed by Kirby, with bold inks from Frank Giacoia, Marvel 1977. Wakanda Forever. Spectacular Black Panther cover! Love the way T'Challa's arms symbolically wrap around his family in a protective embrace! Kirby's work on BP is fabulous! Love Giacoia's inks here too! Congrats on a great pick-up!

Always love reading your descriptions. you might consider becoming an author (seriously!). Kirby's work here is stoic and very centred. A great classic cover. Congrats!

Birth Cover for T'Challa's family! The Black Panther's arm symbolizes where they will spring forth. His brother just wants to help out with the delivery of these characters. Always ahead of his time, Kirby must have known this kind of terminology would be used one day.

This is a classic cover layoutthat has been done numerous times, but usually it's a villain who's looming above the heroes in the background. This is a nice twist on that. Congrats on this acquisition!

I've always loved the way Jack Kirby drew the Black Panther. And yeah, this is a really powerful & emotional image of BP being protective of his family. Congrats on this stunning gem!

Wooooo!! Had that automatic Ric Flair exclamation as soon as I saw this! Big congrats, Dino!You KNOW I like this :) Hard to top Kirby BP in my book. Super impactful cover and you've got that large shot of what's clearly the King's Panther in the back! Also like how you got those 2 cats (pun intended!) rockin' the afro look :) Congrats, again!
