Description

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of G.I. Joe #21-- the famous "Silent Issue"-- Larry Hama (who drew the original story) reimagined the iconic cover with his version of Snake-Eyes in action, inked by veteran artist Steve Leialoha. Drawn on vintage Marvel twice-up (14" x 21") Bristol board from the 1980s and, adding to my nostalgia, I chose to display with "OG" stats circa 1982 on overlay.

Published in 2022, IDW invited 22 different fan-fave artists to draw pages for the classic G.I. Joe "Silent Interlude� story with Larry Hama sharing his long overdue vision for the historic cover.

a really nice piece. Larry Hama is one tof those under the radar artists that will give you a really knock out piece but just doesn't seem to get the praise he is due when talking about the top tier, that is a shame. but killer piece Dino.

Nice G.I, Joe by Hama with lovely finishes by the great Steve Leialoha. I'm sure you've made a few collectors jealous today! Really special and action blazing early eighties comic cover. Congrats Dino.

Really well done. A lovely homage to the original, but with 40 years more experience for both artists, I feel it has an even better aesthetic appeal!

Fun homage cover piece by some great creators! Congrats on this find! The original issue was really powerful and this piece does it similar justice.
