DescriptionOne of my prized pickups in 2023, John Romita’s classic Marvel Treasury #8 cover celebrates the holidays filled with 1970s vibes with Spidey, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Powerman and Nick Fury on a festive Xmas cover. Larger than twice up at 15 x 22 image, possibly Romita’s largest Bronze Age cover.For this Christmas Special issue, Hulk is dressed as Santa and looking as pleased as punch with a kid on his lap. .Doctor Strange uses one hand to lift that glass ball to the tree. Nick Fury in a stylish leather onesie chomping on a cigar wouldn’t have been out of place in a mid-70s living room, right? We all need some more rum and nog. Happy Holidays all! P.S. John Romita Sr. knocked it out of the park, on this fun and festive scene! The Hulk is so cute and I love the fact that Power Man is part of the piece. Huge Congrats!

John Romita was unique producing this kind of "familiar" scenes. His style is unmistakeable. Superb pick-up! It can't be more appropiate these days. Huge congrats and Merry Christamas! I can see this superb cover professionaly framed beside your Christmas tree.

WOW! Nostalgic Yuletide awesomeness from the year I was born. As a reader in the 80s I was always so excited to see one of these treasurys at comic book stores, old book stores, etc. So classic, so Romita, so perfect!

I love all of the Romita Treasury covers and this was one of his most heart warming examples! I also love the feathering of his own inks that add so much dimension to his illustrations! Not lost in this piece is Luke Cage hanging a chain on the tree! Nice touch! Congrats!

Possibly my favorite Treasury cover. This is Romita at his peak IMHO, crafting a classic holiday moment as only Marvel could do. Great pickup, Dino!

Wow--What an amazing holiday cover! Charming work by John Romita Sr. Love Spider-man standing on the wall as he puts a star on top of the tree! And Doctor Strange levitating ornaments onto the branches! Luke Cage stringing a garland! Hulk as Santa? And what's Nice Fury carrying? That is the strangest Holiday cover I've ever seen!
