DescriptionGotta love Sinnott inks over Starlin pencils, especially when the Thing and the Hulk are involved !!Best rendition of the most classic battle of all, you can feel that punch in Ben's orange rock face ! Can't remember who contacted me to offer me this awesome page but be assured of my infinite gratitude !! took me some years to unframe it as I was so afraid to find the art glued or cut out or anything like it happenned to me in the past but it is in its pristine condition !!! If you know me then you know it is a favorite of mine. Social/Sharing |

Great, great, page! Love how those first three panels set up the big punch in the splash. Man, those Sinnott inks!

The Hulk versus Thing battle renewed! The 7th time! While Hulk is strongest, it often ended without a definitive victor, so we are always ready to see the next iteration of this feud. Starlin's penchant for explosive panels on full display! These issues were the springboard for The Thing to start up the Marvel Two-In-One series.

Felt like I had to 'duck' when the page popped up on the screen! It would be hard to find an equal Thing vs Hulk fight panel. The layout provided blows you away ... both guys fully featured, Ben's head turned towards us, even the sound effects "Buh-Whoom!" becames part of the impact effect, both characters surrounded by the clean white background making them and the punch stand out and emphasized by the glorious black and white lines making it an 'edge to edge' panel by Sinnott's always outstanding inks. Perfection! And as an added bonus the classic Hulk dialogue. I was surprised at how long I sat here just staring and taking it all in. Love love love it!!!

I love this page and kick myself to this day for not snapping it up when I had the chance. My loss is your gain and I am happy to see it pop up in a collection that appreciates it so much. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

WOW! Beautiful page! I remember buying it new. This is my second favorite Hulk vs Thing battle. Only FF #112 by Big John Buscema & old Jolt'in Joe Sinnot is better to me. Congrads!

Fabulous page! Great set-up to the final, epic panel. And is it just me, or does the Hulk seem to have gotten a haircut between panels three and four?

From the storytelling to the dialogue to the expressions on both characters' faces--absolute Bronze Age perfection!
