Description

I have to preface this piece by admitting that the theme wasn't originally my idea. Actually, the idea for it came from my good friend and fellow CAF member Mark Tilley. At one point, I remember him saying that he had this great idea for a sketch he'd like to have Frank Brunner do, in which Dr. Strange was teaching Illyana a spell. As time went on and the two of them never connected on getting the piece done, I thought to myself, "Y'know, that's actually a Hell of an idea..."

In preparation for Mid-Ohio Con, I had Comfort Love take on the idea for me and what you see is what she eventually came up with--an amazing piece to go with that awesome concept. I'm posting this piece on Thanksgiving mostly because, this year, my wife and I have gotten to become good friends with both Comfort and her (equally-talented) husband, Adam Withers. One of the things I'm thankful for in 2010 is the chance to have gotten to know the two of them and share a bunch of good times at the Mid-Ohio show. Thanks, Comfort (and Adam)! You guys really are the best!!! :D

Aw, such kind words Carlos :) And again, so glad you liked this - even if it was a little 'Buffy' inspired seeing as I was watching the show for the first time as I drew this.

Beautiful detail in this as a whole.. I love the attitudes! Upon first look, I completely understood Comfort's comment once I scrolled down. It's a bit Buffy-esque however that just adds to the charm of the piece. :)
