I just can't take my eyes off it!

Steacy was in absolute top form and just turned my head when this mag showed up in 1987. Now, I was a devout fan and weaned on Kimba the White Lion, Speed Racer and (reaching in the depths of those things you call brain cells) Marine Boy. Speed was always tops. If not for this cover by Steacy, I might have passed on those latest adventures. Still haven't seen the live action flick ...

I really liked this and the Astro Boy stuff Steacy was doing back then (I have a panel page from that series that he did). The colors he used were just the right blend of garish and just as memorable as the art itself.

Like you, I grew up watching Speed Racer and the other shows you mentioned in your description. I've picked up the entire Speed Racer series on DVD and have had a blast watching them with my son. I remember buying this comic just for the cover; Steacy certainly did an outstanding job on it; congratulations on acquiring such a wonderful piece of nostalgic greatness!
