DescriptionWhen Craig Hamilton splashed on the scene (pun intended) on the Aquaman mini-series some years ago, I remember being blown away by the majesty and grandeur that he bestowed upon the seas and their king through fresh, interesting layouts and beautifully rendered pencils.Fast forward to today, and I think it must be quite distracting being Craig Hamilton because he creates marvelous art out of anything he picks up - graphite pencils, inks, paints and even colored pencils (check out his CAF!). Hamilton also can predict the future - sort of. He told me that I would "like" the piece more than the scan. He was mostly right, but with this piece - filled with art from edge to edge on its 14 x17 oversized board - I am in love. Thanks to Dan at ComicCellar for a great transaction. And a tremendous thanks to Craig for sweating it out over this piece, the composition, details and linework on the original are simply breathtaking. Social/Sharing |

When that showed up on Ebay I thought Wow! That would look great in a frame. A very unique and powerful Spidey Image!

A tremendous pickup. I've said it many times that Craig is a master artist. I was blown away by this piece when I saw it on ebay, but alas I have bills to pay

Man, I wanted this piece bad....it just got too high for me at the time. But I'll be ready should you ever move it.......which is about as likely to happen as Halley's Comet to come ripping through my living room ! :-)

Here's another way Craig predicted the future: He drew the webbing on the costume as raised/ridged...the only other time I've seen it like that is in the movie. And this piece predates that by 10 years. Cool!

I don't know how I missed this but I'm have to add my comment to congratulate you on this great get. What an absolutely STUNNING piece. Collectors always talk about a particular piece and being in the right place at the right time. Well my friend, I'd say that this is the case with your Spidey pin up. Enjoy it.
