DescriptionWhile I'm not a big Gil Kane fan, I really liked this page. To me, it exemplified the dynamic nature of Kane's work, everything is moving, including the camera. The constantly changing angles, the wonderful perspectives and the feeling of motion which is so hard to find in today's comics where everybody looks like they're posing and flexing as they look at you from the panel. The other nice thing about this page is that it is just a classic sequence that made 1970s Marvel Comics so great. The hero, runs from the scene of the accident, changes in a dirty alley, and then swings along the rooftops in pursuit of the culprit. Janson's inks, which I've not seen on Kane all that often really complement Kane's usually thin lined approach. Somewhat, but not exactly like, Wally Wood in Captain Action. All this in one fun little page. Social/Sharing |

I think Gil's influence on a young Frank Miller cannot be overlooked.

I can't imagine a finer or more representative Gil Kane Daredevil page. What a beauty!

Wow! What a beautiful non-stop Daredevil page! Gorgeous artisty by Gil Kane and Klaus Janson, foillowing Matt Murdock as he bolts into an alley, changes clothes and shoots off across the rooftops as Daredevil! Powerfully drawn figurework by Kane propells the action forward and Janson's crisp, sharp inks make the scenes believable! I love the constantly changing perspectives Kane uses, like the camerawork in a well-filmed action film. Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
