Description

Large oil painting by Haddon Sundblom, who is best known for creating the modern image of Santa Claus in his 1930s Coca-Cola advertisements. Sundblom was a mainstay in the illustration world from the 1930s through the 1960s, creating the Santa image, the Quaker Oats man, and many a pin up for Playboy and other publications. He was known to have a heavy influence on a broad range of Illustrators, including Elvgren, among others. This art was used in a 1930s ad, and is huge (36” x 32”).
