My 30th birthday was the day before the Baltimore convention '09. I flew up to Baltimore and met my brother there, where he surprised the hell out of me by literally dropping this masterpiece into my lap. I love Ryan's work so much-- just look at what he did with Venom's fangs! Ryan seems to have used watercolors, markers, pen and ink, white-out, and radioactive isotopes in this piece's fabrication. Thank you thank you thank you, Jim and Ryan, for an amazing present!

Happy belated birthday, Doc! Ryan is an underrated talent, and this piece shows why. I love the portrayal of Venom here, and the body language and attention to detail (that web pattern is immaculate) on Spidey is just phenomenal! Wow, great gift, Jim!
