Description

Large oil by Michael Kaluta. It published as the cover to the Marvel magazine "Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction" and in the famous Studio art book. It was painted in 1975.

I've admired Michael's work for a long time, this is a spectacular piece. I haven't seen this one before, it's got so much power and energy and is masterfully painted. Congratulations, and thank's for sharing!

Amazing! And such a classic image from the Studio days. Kaluta really controlled the composition perfectly with this one and the movement and all the details are fantastic.
