According to Wikipedia, Grell's first full-time assignment was the Legion. He got the job because he was walking into the editor's office asking for work as Dave Cockrum, who just quit, was walking out. He inked Cockrum's pencils for 202, then started pencilling with 203. So this is pretty dang vintage Mike Grell!
