Description

The Usual Suspects is one of my favorite movies. Not only was it one of the best roles for Kevin Spacey, but it also introduced the world to the brillaint works of Bryan Singer who would later go on to direct some movies called X-Men, X2, and Superman Returns. I wanted to have an image similiar to the Usual Suspects poster featuring some of my favorite X-Men. At that same moment I wanted to get a commission by Georges Jeanty. Then it hit me, why not get Georges to draw his Usual Suspects of Xcharacters he's drawn.

The lineup consists of Chamber, Sabretooth (both drawn by Georges in Weapon X), Gambit (drawn by Georges in Gambit #25 of his first ongoing series, Gambit/Bishop Miniseries, and the recent Gambit ongoing series), Bishop (drawn by Georges in Bishop: The Last X-Man ongoing series, and Gambit/Bishop Miniseries), and last but certainly not least the merc with the mouth Deadpool (drawn by Georges in Deadpool 54-63 including my favourite Deadpool story ever Funeral for a Freak).

I could not be happier with this piece. Georges as always was very professional about this and spent a lot of time working on it. Georges is occassionally available for commissions and you can contact him about buying pages at his website www.kabalounge.com

As an additional note, Georges is the current artist of American Way published by Wildstorm Singature Comics. It's a very interesting take on politics and superheroes. I highly recommend it.

BRILLIANT rendition of a damn smart concept! I wish I'd thought of it! I'd love to get Jeanty to do the Serenity crew in the same set-up
