Description

In 1967, the "Summer of Love" was in full bloom. "Peace and Love" and "Make Love Not War" were the popular slogans of the time and the champion of those values was the Silver Surfer. Trapped on the Earth he swore to protect from his planet eating master, Galactus, the Surfer's high moral values, pristine soul and longing for his lost love, Shalla Bal, proved to be a popular mix amongst the college students of the day. After his first appearance on the pages of Fantastic Four in 1966, the Surfer was awarded his own title in 1968.

This page from the Silver Surfer's first series, contains six panels all starring Ol' Chrome Dome himself! Buscema's pencils and Dan Adkins inks smoothly convey the Surfer's formidable Power Cosmic while pacing the the story along like only they could. Any page from the original run of the Silver Surfer is highly desirable since only eighteen issues were produced and all are classics of the Silver Age! Don't let this gem slip through your fingers! Art is in excellent condition. No credit cards will be accepted for payment of this item.
