DescriptionI can't succinctly put into words how much of a pleasure it was getting this commission, so you'll have to excuse me while I ramble and/or gush.I guess I should start at the beginning. When I think of artists who have put their indelible mark on the character of The Punisher three names immediately leap to my mind. In reverse (of course) alphabetical order they are, Mike Zeck, John Romita Jr. and, of course, Tim Bradstreet. Tim's work on the covers of the various Punisher books in the Marvel Knights era were integral to the character resurgence of popularity during the Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon run. After trying to meet Tim at SDCC for the last few years, but always managing to miss him, we finally crossed paths at this year's inaugural Wizard World New York convention. After telling Tim that I needed the commission done on a very tight deadline he agreed to take on the job. From here on out dealing with Tim on this piece was a dream come true. Every phone call and email was returned promptly. The amount of artistic input Tim allowed me to have into this piece was without bounds. From the shirt The Punisher is wearing to the firearms The Punisher is wielding and even the majority of the firearms used in the background were ones that I had requested. Tim's attention to both detail and accuracy were above reproach. When I requested that I wanted The Punisher drawn holding a certain model Heckler & Koch MP-5 Tim didn't just draw any model but got the reference material required for the exact model I wanted drawn. What more can I say? Getting this piece was a dream come true and I mean that with the utmost sincerity. If I could have changed one thing it would have been meeting up with Tim sooner but as the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait. Social/Sharing |

This is to die for seems the most appropriate comment. This is probably the best piece of art I've seen from Bradstreet, and that is saying a heck of a lot because the man is brilliant with a pen. This is cover worthy.
