Description

Amy Reeder has been on my art radar ever since she worked on Madame Xanadu back in the day. For me, she's one of those, "I really need something from [artist] but I can't figure out what," types that seems to be on everyone's list.

This past year she made an appearance at the Baltimore con and I finally found my piece! The whole experience was wonderful. She took the time to talk to me and about the art. The setting is an actual place in NYC (she told me and I forgot) but she told me how she took photos and hung out there for a couple of days to make sure she got the vibe of the area just right. And I think she did!

For me, having never read the book, it was all about the 'mood.' Sitting there, watching the world go buy in a rush, who hasn't been there?

Like I said, too good to pass up.

Amy is a HUGE talent. Rocket Girl was a terrific book.
