Description

Oil Painting by Tom Lovell, created for a story of the same title for Collier's Magazine, 1950.

One of my favorite, and most substantial pieces to date. I never thought I would have the chance to one of Tom Lovell's originals. In my opinion, Tom Lovell is one of the finest American illustrators to have ever lived.

Thanks, Rich. Despite being the most I've ever spent on a piece, it was still MUCH more affordable than I would have guessed. It's also a lot different than what we usually collect, which is great.

A lovely piece by one of the absolute best American illustrators that ever lived. I hope you bought his art book that came out last year!
