DescriptionHere is a piece that I had a great time putting together. This jam is inspired by a jam the artists at Mirage Studios (minus Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird) did in the late 80's showing a lot of the TMNT characters together in one shot. All the artists did multiple characters and it was great to see all their styles together on one page.I was inspired to put together a jam that served as an update to that 80's piece. The new jam was to feature the updated IDW versions of those characters (when possible) drawn by the artists who have made the IDW run so memorable. For example, the original Nobody was replaced by the Angel version of Nobody. The alien Metalhead from the Mirage series was replaced by Donatello's robot Metalhead from the IDW series. I also decided to keep this piece relegated to heroes. This means Leatherhead in the original piece was replaced by Slash. Old Hob didn't make the piece since he tends to ride the line between ally and enemy. Then there are characters that didn't translate at all. IDW doesn't have Complete Carnage, Radical, or the Merman from Sons of the Silent Age, so I took the opportunity to add in some of the Mutanimals. In all, there are 20 characters here and true to the original piece, some of the artists did more than one character. Cory Smith did Fugitoid and Zom the Triceraton Charles Paul Wilson III did Splinter Andy Kuhn did Mutagen Man and Mondo Gecko Ciro Nieli did Donatello Freddie Williams II did Metalhead Ben Bishop did Michelangelo Dave Wachter did Alopex and Slash Ken Garing did Nobody and Jennika Kevin Eastman did Leonardo and Raphael David Petersen did Pepperoni Michael Dialynas did Man Ray and Pigeon Pete Mateus Santolouco did Casey Jones and Sally Pride Jon Sommariva did April O'Neil That's 13 artists total over the course of 5 years putting this together. Even as I look at it now, I smile thinking about the details of putting this together. I probably have an anecdote about each character/artist here. All star line up of TMNT artists! Eastman in the middle looks right and it just builds from there with an endless cast and cadre of talents from comics to animation!
