DescriptionI can't adequately express in words how excited I am to own this piece! I commissioned the layouts earlier this year and with a lot of help and a ton of luck, it's done by the end of 2012!The guys at Mirage were so great it was unbelievable. The board got passed around and it was like Christmas every time I got an update in my inbox. Before we even got started, it was suggested that I have the finished pencils inked by yet another Mirage artist (Dan Berger), both unifying the piece a bit and adding another Mirage alum to the fold. Dan inked a copy of the original pencils, so I've got both versions. Lastly, I handed off a copy of the piece to yet another Mirage artist, Steve Lavigne. Steve colored the piece by hand (not digitally) and it looks FANTASTIC! Here's the breakdown: Leonardo - Michael Dooney Donatello - Peter Laird Raphael - Kevin Eastman Michelangelo - Jim Lawson Inks - Dan Berger Colors - Steve Lavigne This is a handful of studio artists collaborating to recreate the first cover of my favorite comic series of all time! I can't thank the guys at Mirage enough. I'm the happiest TMNT fan on the planet! Thank you for the phenomenal addition to my collection. 10 years later update: The logo always felt unfinished, so I sent this back to Steve Lavigne who graciously colored in the hands/sword in the "TURTLES" portion of the logo. Such a great Jam Adam. Each artist style really shines through! This piece will be a highlight of your collection for years to come and I am very excited for such a big turtle fan to have such a uniquely wonder piece. Congrats!
